Irene Carretta — Illustrator, with experience as an Environmental Engineer | Also available in Italian, German and Spanish

OFFER

I help publishers bring to life picture books and board games that explore environmental awareness, empathy across species, emotions, and the inner world of childhood. I create warm, symbolic illustrations where children, animals, and nature meet, offering parents and educators a gentle way to approach meaningful conversations.

ABOUT ME

I am Irene, a freelance illustrator working under my creative brand, Medilludesign. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, and after years of working as an Environmental Engineer, I chose to follow my creative path. That background has left its mark on my work: my illustrations always explore the dialogue between nature, emotion, and awareness. I've published two illustrated books, one self-published and one with a publishing house, distributed in Italy, France, Spain, and South America. I work in Italian, English, German, and Spanish, with some French. I developed my skills through Character Design studies in Modena and digital illustration courses, specializing in Procreate.
